Robert M Hoehn

Rob Hoehn is a Wisconsin-based author who writes fantasy and speculative fiction about people trying to hold on to what makes them human when the world around them starts to change.

He co-created the Guardians of Aeldoria series, an expansive fantasy world built around courage, friendship, sacrifice, and the idea that even unlikely heroes can change the course of a much larger story. His science fiction explores similar questions from a different direction. The short story Common Hour looks at connection and shared experience aboard a future shaped by artificial intelligence, while Null Kids takes readers to Milwaukee in 2044, where technology has made life easier, safer, and far more dangerous than anyone expected.

Across his stories, Rob is drawn to found families, imperfect heroes, memory, identity, technology, and people stubborn enough to believe tomorrow can still be better.

When he isn't writing, he's usually building something, filming something, running farther than is probably reasonable, or wondering how today's technology might become tomorrow's story.
