John Bush is a professional drummer and percussionist, originally from Dallas, Texas. He is best known for his role as a founding member of the platinum-selling band, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians. John has been writing stories since he was a child. When he started putting lyrics to his own music, he stopped writing short stories. His songs became his storytelling. Currently, he’s penning several pieces of fiction, as well as a collection of non-fiction stories. When he’s not writing, John enjoys going to baseball games with his son, Elec, and thrift store shopping with his daughter, Livvy. He’s also fond of road trips, playing disc golf, and camping. John lives in Austin, Texas – the “Live Music Capital of the World” – where he performs in several groups. He’s been fortunate to have traveled the world playing and recording music. John works regularly as a session musician and has his own studio, Cicada Moon Studios, where he produces music with other artists.
