Michael Ward

Michael has over 25 years of nonprofit experience, serving as a board member, CFO, CEO, and consultant. He assists CEOs and their managers with financial reporting, analysis, and planning, and helps boards understand organizational performance. Michael has served on seven nonprofit boards, including multiple terms as chair, and led one board through a merger and integration into a larger system, remaining on the board throughout the five-year integration period.

With 40 years of overall business experience, Michael has expertise in strategy development, financial management, and program planning. He has collaborated extensively with cross-functional teams, including professionals in program management, IT, marketing, and finance.

Michael is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), licensed in Virginia. His broad skill set and leadership experience make him a trusted advisor in the nonprofit sector, helping organizations navigate complex financial and strategic challenges.
