Heidi Prowse OAM

Heidi Prowse is an author, advocate, and community leader, renowned for her unwavering dedication to causes that create genuine change and lift communities. Her life’s work is built on values of compassion, tenacity, and integrity, a foundation she’s used to transform purpose-driven organisations for over a decade. Applying her expertise in systems, empathetic leadership, and business acumen, Heidi has expanded the impact of many community organisations, a commitment recognised through multiple awards, including the Telstra ACT Business Woman of the Year.

Heidi’s advocacy journey is also deeply personal. Her late husband, Andrew, lived with cystic fibrosis, and Heidi became his full-time carer while simultaneously leading in executive roles within the non-profit sector. Her experiences led her to amplify her voice for adults living with cystic fibrosis, co-founding the Santa Speedo Shuffle in Canberra. This event has raised significant funds, directly supporting local families with medical equipment and services. In recognition of her dedication, Heidi was named ACT Young Australian of the Year.

Outside of her professional pursuits, Heidi contributes to her community as a netball coach, a member of health advisory committees, and a board member for several local organisations. Through her writing, Heidi now shares her hard-earned insights and life lessons, inspiring others to find strength in adversity, purpose in service, and hope in community.
