Dave Spinks

After having several otherworldly encounters as a young man Dave Spinks became fascinated by the paranormal and started the journey in his search for answers. Gathering evidence in the form of EVP’s, video and photographic data and personal experiences, Dave collected experiences from many different people from all walks of life to include Law Enforcement officers, farmers, hunters, schoolteachers, doctors and more. Dave cites “In Search Of,” with Leonard Nimoy and Hans Holzer as a few of his many early Influences.

As an adult, he joined the USAF right out of college and became a trained observer. He spent eight years active duty and one in the Army National Guard.

After the military, Dave pursued a career in law Enforcement, working for the West Virginia Department of Corrections for two years and moving into Federal Law enforcement with the U.S. Department of Justice for another Eight plus years.

His professional path greatly enhanced his investigative skills. During his years working in the Federal and state Government, he continued his pursuit of the Supernatural investigating and researching anytime he had an opportunity.

His service in the military gave him the opportunity to investigate locations in Italy while stationed there in the 1990’s.

In 2011, he retired from Law Enforcement and decided to dive headlong into the pursuit of the paranormal on a full -time basis.

Since that time, he has worked alongside with some of the most well-known names in the various fields of the paranormal to include John Zaffis, Rosemary Ellen Guiley, Dr. Ray Keller, Barry, “BEAR” Gaunt, Eric Altman and many more

In 2017 Dave purchased a notorious haunted location known as Willows Weep in Cayuga Indiana. The sole purpose in him doing this was to have a paranormal lab in which to attempt to document and study paranormal phenomena as it occurs. Look for more on this location in the future. After Conducting a 7-year project at the Willows Weep house he tore down the location in May of 2024 due to the location being extremely negative in nature. In 2024 Dave purchased a new location for a new paranormal project. It is called the Shanty town Spirit shack and is located in West Virginia, you can go to his website to book an investigation there.

Dave has investigated, researched, and written about a variety of topics to include Cryptids, Hauntings and Ufology.

He has been a featured speaker at numerous conferences around the country and is often asked to lecture on a variety of paranormal topics.

He has been a featured guest on countless radio shows and paranormal podcasts from around the world to include Coast to Coast Am, Spaced out Radio, Arcane Radio, and other radio programs. Dave has appeared on several network television shows to include Destination Americas, “Terror in the Woods.” The Travel Channels, “Ghost Nation”, “These Woods are Haunted.” Paranormal 911, and In Search of Monsters as well as the History Channels UnXplained season 1 and 2, Discovery Channels Expedition X, in 2018 he was featured in Small Town Monsters movie, The Flatwoods Monster, ‘A legacy of Fear.” And The Movie Flatwoods.

Most recently he played a significant role in the new Movie Series Off to the Witch presents, “A Haunting we will go”, Directed and produced by Chrisotpher Garetano

Dave has also Coproduced several Investigation videos for streaming and DVD to Include Willows Weep, Malefice, Fonti Flora, Real Supernatural presents “The Point Pleasant Files”, Haunting of Sweet Springs, Ghost of the Guyer Opera House. 1699, A Haunting in Bellaire and House of Haunted Fields. He is constantly conducting investigations adding to his knowledge and experiences.
