Nancy Haack has always loved romance. From the time she was a young girl playing date night with her Barbies, to sketching fashion models (all while having a running dialogue between the ladies and gents she was drawing), to devouring Victoria Holt novels as a teen. When asked her favorite genre of movies, it's always romantic comedies, especially The Princess Bride. So, when a time came that she was invited to join a local writer's group, she jumped in with pen ready and a lifetime of characters ready to hit the page.
Growing up in a small town in Connecticut, Nancy has always appreciated the simplicity and community that can be found there. So, it's no wonder that as an adult she and her husband chose to raise their two daughters in another small town. And while many people find a path and follow it most of their lives, Nancy has had the luxury of pursuing her many talents and dreams in a biography that reads like one of the books she loves.
Trained as a children's illustrator, she has painted everything from classroom size murals to children's picture books. Along the way to her first novel, she has worked as a face painter, balloon twister, and caricaturist. And even had the chance, twice, to face paint for Ringling Bros. red carpet events in NYC!
But it's her commitment to family and her faith that shines through in her writing. Her first novel, A Day to Remember, introduces readers to Julia, a character inspired by her grandmother. By the end of the story, Julia has married her love, DJ, and their happily ever after begins.
But what next? That's the question always asked of Nancy and that is where A Night to Remember begins. The day after the wedding. Readers will be thrilled to dive back into Julia and DJ's story and discover that love and passion continue and that happy endings are also happy beginnings!
