Roderick L. Fowler III writes at the crossroads of the American frontier and the old North. Raised with Choctaw and Muscogee roots and a lifelong pull toward the sagas, he builds stories where honor, violence, and chosen family collide—Viking fantasy-westerns, Southern gothic horror, and the dark edges in between.
His work includes the horror novella One Night in the Glowing House and the novel The Baron’s Gambit, first in a series following a weary cavalry captain, an orc shepherd, and the people they refuse to abandon on the edge of Ragnarian Territory. He publishes through Native Norse Publishing.
Fowler lives in the Ozarks of northwest Arkansas with his wife and two sons. When he isn’t writing, he trains, studies history, and keeps the kind of quiet life that leaves room for the next book.
