Emily A. Weinberg

Emily Weinberg is an Elementary Educator and author of THE FEATHER OF TRUTH.

Emily enjoys writing historical fiction and realistic fiction for older children. She believes that books are the easiest way to teleport to exotic places and explore the wonders of our world and worlds of the imagination. THE FEATHER OF TRUTH is based on actual historical events. It is written for a middle-grade audience and will appeal to readers interested in historical fiction with a social justice theme. It shows how religion was part of every aspect of life in ancient Egypt and guided society to live harmoniously with the gods and their Pharaoh. The story weaves art, history, and mythology into an exciting adventure with relatable characters.

With over 20 years of classroom experience, Emily loves to re-create history with her students, especially that of ancient Egypt. She wrote THE FEATHER OF TRUTH to complement her 5th-grade Egypt curriculum. Emily has a BA in English Composition, and an MA in Education, and is active in several writing groups. She loves studying mythology, world religions, and lost civilizations.

Emily Weinberg is an adventurer, scholar, house-builder, and teacher. She loves big, hands-on projects and getting messy. She lives with her family in Westminster West, Vermont.
