Florent Segonne

Passionate about both learning and teaching, with 17 years of experience in finance: five years on the sell-side as a structurer (exotic products, hedge-fund engineering, institutional structuration) at Société Générale and Citigroup, and 12 years on the buy-side as Head of Quantitative Research at 80 Capital, Marshall Wace, and others.

Previously led a research group in medical imaging and computer vision (2006–2008) at Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (research and teaching), and consulted for FreeSurfer at Harvard’s NMR Center in Boston.

Master of Science (2002) and a PhD (2005) in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT, where he was a Presidential Fellow, Alumnus of École Polytechnique (X96) and the Corps des Ponts et Chaussées (2001).
