Jéan “Boomer” Grenier has spent forty-one years behind a drum kit, touring, recording albums and playing live. He still performs with the bands Bottoms Up and Wildside. Along the way, he has collected stories that no stage can explain: hauntings, poltergeists, premonitions and unexplainable happenings he has witnessed first-hand since childhood. Those experiences are the heart of his book Drumming Up the Dead, with a foreword by Lisa Dowaliby, former case manager for TAPS and former cast member of the SyFy series Ghost Hunters.
Writing this book also became a passion. There seems to be a need for validation, closure and acceptance for personal loss and of the unexplained that can manifest in all our lives. While some of these experiences for Jéan were shocking, scary and unsettling, there is also validation and closure of what he knows to be true through his eyes.
This book may help validate an experience for you and give you hope, peace and closure, if needed.
Jéan enjoys spending time with his family, his fur kids and friends. When he isn’t playing shows, he is listening for the next story. He enjoys riding his motorcycle, kayaking, camping and traveling with his wife. These are among his favorite hobbies and pastimes.
Readers are welcome to share their own experiences with him.
