Sandy McCaffree

Sandy was born and raised in Billings, Montana where the big skies offer breathtaking views of vast mountain ranges, national parks, clean, clear rivers, streams and lakes. The open ranges taught her to love and appreciate nature, wildlife and an uncluttered environment while hiking and exploring the backcountry surrounding her metropolitan city.

Raised by caring parents and embraced by her large family of grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, children and grandchildren. Sandy learned that the value of being in the life of a child would forever remain the highest honor and the most valuable gift in the circle of life.

She founded her prized nonprofit organization called Blankets & Bears dedicated to giving children in all walks of life a new pillow, handmade pillowcase, warm fleece blanket and a cuddly stuffed animal to help them feel warm, safe and loved. These bundles provide comfort and a forever friend when they are feeling lonely, afraid, cold or sick. Sandy's own love for reading lead her to write a children's book complete with colorful pictures to convey the message that a forever friend plays an important role in every child's life, and the greatest gift of all is the one you give to another.

With her children all grown and raising children of their own, Sandy embraces retirement with her husband, traveling, exploring new cultures and finding solace in the presence of her grandchildren. You will most likely find her snuggling with her grandchildren, surrounded by piles of books and mounds of warm blankets.
