Kia ora, readers! My name is Tracey Lean and I'm FINALLY a full-time writer. I have just published my first novel, 'The Galvani Gene', with Amazon.
I live in the most beautiful place in the world: New Zealand! You might notice this from the way Gabriel narrates the story. I've been a writer of study materials both in digital and print form for ENotes, Gradesaver, ESA/Learnwell and Education Perfect and others whilst teaching English at primary and secondary level. I wanted to write a novel for young people that could be entertaining, thoughtful and maybe a bit educational. Issues around identity, anxiety, the meaning of friendship and navigating our crazy world were my inspiration.
My grand plan is to make 'The Galvani Gene' part of a series which will evolve through reader feedback into a memorable and helpful exploration of the most wonderful yet difficult years - tweens to teens, that is!
I'd love to hear from you! My favorite authors are the ones who are happy to engage with the reader in real time as well as through their stories, so message me with your thoughts on the novel. What did you like? What issues should I write about next? What new scenarios could Gabriel and his friends find themselves in?
