Thank you for those of you who have read my first novel, 'The Plan.' The sequel, 'The Plan Revisited, set ten years later where The Plan finished is now released as of 24th April.

My background: I was born in South Lincolnshire, in the town of Sleaford in the UK. I am now living in the beautiful South Island of New Zealand and have been here since 2005 but we get 'home' every few years. I have an education, mental health and psychotherapy/Counselling background.

The Plan: This is a story about a young man trying to find his way in life, in the midst of coercion and abuse, with the added pressure from those close to him, who have other agendas for his life. It is underpinned by the friendship of three friends and their responses to all Adam, the main character, is experiencing. Some have commented that that some of the content is 'harrowing,' but 'compelling.' It has specific details about emotional, physical and sexual abuse which is intentional as I wanted to honour the stories of many people who have experienced abuse and survived. If we hide these things, the shame deepens. Some of the content and most of its themes are are semi-biographical but disguised in such a way that no personal details are recorded.

The Plan Revisited: This is the sequel to 'The Plan,' but it can be read as a stand alone novel. It takes up the story of three friends and their familes ten years later and how the plan for their lives need to be revisited many times due to unexpected revelations and personal challenges. Two key characters unfold, that were introduced in 'The Plan,' that unravel past abuse and trauma and its long-term impact on people's lives and relationships.Themes of identity, addiction and revenge run through the strory, reaching a climax where relationships are both challenged and changed forever.

Enjoy the journey! Please post your comments and thank you for your support
