Jacquel Thomas, a proud native of Marlboro County, South Carolina, has dedicated over 20 years to advocating for and educating students with diverse disabilities. Her extensive experience spans elementary and middle schools to juvenile facilities. She has provided professional development to educators and administrators.

As the CEO of A Different Kind of Learning, LLC, Jacquel leads a business that offers specialized tutoring for students and provides professional development for special education educators. In addition to her professional work, Jacquel enjoys spending time with her family, reading, traveling, caring for her plants, and listening to jazz. She is the proud mother of one son, Steven. She is also a proud Lupus Warrior.
