Nick Kemp

Nick Kemp’s love of rock n roll was ignited in the playground, and gig going quickly became his religion. Somehow, in between shows, he was able to fit in a doctorate from Oxford, two decades in the classroom, the definitive biography of Demented Are Go, writing a history of the British Euthanasia movement and a brief stint drumming for the Coffin Nails. From rockabilly to psychobilly and beyond, Nick has established himself as one of the UK’s foremost authorities on rock n roil in all its forms.

Now retired, he devotes himself to pursuing his passions for both the written word and seeing as much live music across the country as possible. The ‘Rockin Writing’ series compiles his music journalism over the past decade from UK Rock n Roll Magazine and more, and features his interviews, opinions and reviews on all things rockin’.
