Aimee Kaufman and her husband Barry live in New Jersey where they raised their two children Dana and Sam. While working part-time as an accountant, Aimee spent many hours during Sam's childhood learning about Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and advocating for her younger daughter's needs. During her research Aimee discovered that she has adult ADHD which provided her with a unique insight into Sam's disability and the motivation to conquer the many obstacles ADHD placed on their lives.
To keep Aimee grounded throughout the turbulent years, she relied on yoga, meditation, and spin classes. Today, Aimee owns her own QuickBooks consulting business and cherishes the time she and her husband spend in Jersey City with their grown daughters, who developed a close relationship in spite of their early conflicts and who provided the inspiration for her debut memoir, No One Else I'd Rather Be - Loving a Daughter with ADHD for Who She Is.
