Nick Serpell

Nick Serpell is a former BBC journalist. He began his broadcasting career with Pirate FM before moving to BBC Radio Cornwall where he worked as a reporter and presenter. He then moved to work on the BBC’s rolling news channel, then called News 24, in London before spending ten years as the BBC’s Obituary Editor, chronicling the lives of some of the most famous people on the planet.

Since leaving the BBC he has trained as a professional genealogist which has allowed him to combine his twin passions of history and research. This is his first book
