Author/Publisher/Playwright/Filmmaker Darryl James is an award-winning author (“Notes From The Edge,” "LA Riots," “Detective’s Affair”), lecturer and filmmaker. James' syndicated column (“The Bridge”) was carried in thirty outlets for ten years. James is the founder and publisher of several magazines, most notably Rap Sheet, the second largest rap music publication (1992-2002) and the lead Editor at Tenacious Books, a boutique publishing house for self-publishing ventures. His feature film, “Love In A Day,” a story of love in the age of troubled relationships, is currently streaming on Amazon, Tubi, Roku and Vudu.

James has been at the helm of a number of product launches and brand re-imaging, from Sprite’s marriage to Hip Hop, to several brands for Anheuser-Busch, and even his own brand, Rap Sheet, the only African-American owned national Rap music publication. James launched Rap Sheet in 1992, taking it to the number two position, while creating a separate marketing arm for the brand that serviced both corporate clients and the music industry.

James has more than ten projects in various stages of development, including an art book, and a television show with three produced episodes that he is currently shopping for distribution.
