Matthew Coxall is an author, digital product strategist, and experienced Agile and product practitioner with more than two decades of experience across software engineering, product management, organisational change, and Agile leadership.

He is the author of Harmony: Building Coherent Product-Led Organisations, a book that explores how Product, Engineering, Design, Business, governance, leadership, and delivery systems can work together as a coherent whole. His work focuses on reducing organisational friction, improving decision-making, strengthening ownership, and helping organisations move towards clearer, more product-led ways of working.

Matthew is also the author of the Agile How To series, a practical set of guides for Scrum Masters, Product Owners, development team members, engineering leaders, and specialist roles working in Agile environments.

Across his writing, he aims to make complex organisational and delivery challenges easier to understand and more practical to act on.

His professional background spans roles including software engineer, business analyst, solution architect, product owner, product manager, Agile coach, and digital strategy leader. This broad experience gives him a practical view of how ideas move from strategy to discovery, delivery, learning, and long-term product ownership.

Matthew’s work is grounded in real organisational experience rather than theory alone. He writes for leaders, practitioners, and teams who are trying to create better conditions for digital product work to succeed.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Matthew moved to the UK in 1996 and now lives in Norfolk. Outside of work and writing, he enjoys gaming, books, films, creative projects, and the occasional round of golf.
