Jerry Allen Kirk

Jerry Allen Kirk is a Native American Artist and Poet born in Chicago, Illinois February 27, 1983 and raised on the Lac Courte Orielles Indian Reservation near Hayward, Wisconsin. Where he is a member of the Native American Tribe. Who made their debut with the self published 2025, ‘Native Tongue’ a collection of biographical poetry that features intimate and emotionally intense poems. Jerry’s writing started at a young age where in high school they had interests as a journalist student. Jerry had many job changes until finding a passion for art and poetry. The freedom the blank page offered was a comfort to them. As a drug addict in recovery of multiple years and someone who suffered with mental health issues, being diagnosed as Schizophrenic, writing has been a pivotal key factor that proved to be therapeutic. Their poetry is often tastefully short, poignant and to the point. It covers a range of topics which include the meaning of life, death, time and relationships with those around him. As any artist they have a muse which they refer to as “R”. A notable member of the local LGQBTA community as a proud gender fluid, asexual where visibility is over shadowed by the Northwoods back drop scene. They stick out as a local Haywardite and has a close connection to the local art gallery ArtBeat. Jerry continues to create art which is close to their heart and plans on expanding their writing repertoire to include short stories.
