When my children were young, I used to tell them stories about a bear named Georgio.
Like all children’s stories, mine had adventure, suspense, and fun—but there was one more element: all the stories had morals that I hoped my children would absorb for later in life. Isn’t that the wish of every parent?
Many a night, after a long and tiring day, my children would say before going to bed, “Daddy, can you please tell me a Georgio story?” And inevitably I would oblige.
But I never wrote these stories down.
Life happened. Our children left home and got married, and now have their own children.
These days I tell my grandchildren the same Georgio stories—and they, too, love them.
I began to think, maybe I should write these stories for all children to enjoy, not just mine.
And so Georgio Stories were born.
I hope other children enjoy them as much as mine did.
