Paul Stiling

Paul Stiling is a poet, author and podcast host based in Wincanton, Somerset. He is the author of twelve poetry collections covering mental health, addiction, recovery, fatherhood, grief, austerity and the stubborn business of being alive.

His work is grounded in the specific and ordinary — the receipt in the kitchen drawer, the names in your phone you no longer answer, the sky over Somerset that goes on longer than it should. He writes about the things most people are thinking but nobody is saying.

Before writing full time Paul spent years in music. His close friend and bandmate Rob Rose died in 2021. Rob is present in the work.

He hosts the Dead Drop podcast and is the author of Haunted Aotearoa, a journey through thirty of New Zealand's most haunted places.
