Kath Mitchell

Kath Mitchell spent her childhood on an idyllic lakefront farm in Western Washington, surrounded by a vibrant community of animals—cats, dogs, cattle, sheep, chickens, and a horse. One of her most treasured memories is sitting on her granddad's knee, spinning whimsical "Real true stories that I just made up." These early moments of storytelling sparked a lifelong passion for the written word.

Drawing inspiration from literary legends like Louisa May Alcott, Beatrix Potter, Johnny Gruelle, Margaret Wise Brown, and even the trailblazing astronaut Neil Armstrong, Kathleen has crafted a voice that’s uniquely her own—rich with imagination and heart. Today, she calls Southern Oregon home, where she shares her life with two beloved cats and a cozy haven filled with books, teddy bears, and endless stories waiting to be told.
