Rachael Pearson

Rachael Pearson is a children's author, writing books for little ones aged 2–7, including The Magic Mermaid Tail and Little Horrors. She writes in a playful, sing-song verse that brings rhythm and fun to her stories, which are brimming with magic, adventure, and imagination. All of Rachael’s books celebrate friendship and kindness at their heart.

Her debut book, The Magic Mermaid Tail — enchantingly illustrated by Daniel Desembrana — is available as an ebook and in print on Amazon. Little Horrors, with it's playful, undead illustrations by Doan Trang, will be released later in 2025, and there are lots more stories just waiting for pictures to bring them to life.

Rachael lives in the UK with her husband and their two grown-up boys (who were real-life little horrors until recently). She currently works as a teaching assistant in a reception class, where she spends much of her time supporting children with additional needs — a role that brings daily inspiration for her writing. Before this, she spent many years working in community engagement and development, helping people connect through learning, creativity and shared stories. When she's not writing, you can usually find her near water, dreaming up new adventures for young readers to explore.
