Esme Carpenter

Esme Carpenter is a British science-fiction and fantasy author. She attended the University of East Anglia's Creative Writing program from 2008 to 2011 and went on to become an English teacher. Now living in the US, Esme writes novels and short stories for teens and adults, ranging from space operas to high fantasy.

Published stories include 'Azurewrath', a fantasy story about a difficult dinner meeting (SQ Mag); 'Harry's Shiver', a science-fiction outing about a very good thief (Shoreline of Infinity 13 and Best of British Science Fiction 2018, NewCon Press); 'Against the Elements', a middle-grade fantasy about an elemental kingdom crumbling (IFWG Publishing); and the latest offering, 'Spencer and DeWitt: Man on Fire', a sci-fi detective novel.
