After studying pharmacy and completing my doctorate in pharmacists' professional ethics, I worked as a self-employed pharmacist at various locations. After further training as an environmental journalist at the Advanced Business Training Academy (FAW) in Cologne, I published a large number of specialist articles on pharmaceutical and medical topics. Together with Andrea Tichy, the book "Happy Money - discovering the relaxed way of dealing with money" was published by Campus-Verlag in 2003, in which a needs-psychological approach aims to encourage the reader to build wealth that has more to do with our abilities than worrying about material possessions.

The questions about the meaning of life led to an intensive study of secular Buddhism. This gave rise to the desire to combine basic Buddhist concepts with aspects of modern self-management. This is how the book "Living mindfully with Buddha" was born, which was also published in English as "Living mindfully with Buddha" at the same time in early 2025.
