John Hyde Barnard

John Hyde Barnard is the author of THE CREOLE INCIDENT, The beginning of the end of slavery, published by Coldwell Hyde Publishing LLC.

Mr. Barnard is a member of the American Historical Society, the Phi Alpha Theta History Honor Society and was recently elected to the board of directors for the Institute for Historical Studies, San Francisco.

He attended: Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, CA, California State University at San Marcos, University of California at Riverside and Southwestern Law School, Los Angeles. He is active in the entertainment business as a publisher, musician, producer and musical director.

John is the winner of the 39th Jerry Jazz Musician New Short Fiction Award for the short story ‘The Lot’ and was named runner up in the Adult Non-Fiction Category in the San Francisco Writers Conference 2021 Writing Contest for The Creole Incident.
