Skyler Trepel

Skyler Trepel is an author of the "From Challenge to Champion" inspiring sports books for kids’ series with Penguin Random House. His first book "From Challenge to Champion" features 12 athletes including LeBron James, Serena Williams, Tom Brady and Simone Biles. His second book "Inspiring Stories of Football Greats" features players like Peyton Manning, Jerry Rice, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce. His third book "Inspiring Stories of Baseball Greats" features players like Babe Ruth, Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani and Mookie Betts.

Skyler is a journalist covering sports and entertainment for People Magazine and Entertainment Weekly, who’s written for many other publications too. He’s worked as a multimedia sports editor, reporter, columnist, sports anchor, podcast host and more.

Skyler’s loved sports books since he was a kid as they taught him about how sports can inspire us, which makes him thrilled to be writing sports books for kids. Skyler earned his Master of Arts in Specialized Journalism from the University of Southern California, a Film Production Diploma from the Toronto Film School and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from the University of Manitoba.
