Michael Combs

Michael Combs is a devoted husband, father, and storyteller who brings real-life experiences into the heart of his fiction. He and his wife, Kelly, were high school sweethearts and have been married for over 30 years. Together, they serve as senior pastors at Fellsmere Chapel in South Florida. Their ministry rolls in various locations have been a source of strength and hope for over two decades.

As a dramatic-fiction writer, Michael weaves elements of his own life, particularly his journey as a father to four children, two of which have severe autism, as well as their ministry experiences, into his stories. His work resonates deeply with those in the ministry and families navigating the joys and challenges of raising special needs children. Through his writing, he seeks to offer both authenticity and encouragement to his readers.

Michael studied pastoral ministry with a focus on family counseling at Lee University and holds ordained minister credentials with the Church of God, Cleveland, Tennessee. His passion for faith and storytelling is deeply rooted in his upbringing. As the son of a military man who later became a pastor, Michael’s early years were shaped by travel, change, and the steady foundation of faith.

Beyond ministry and writing, Michael enjoys movies, collecting sports cards, fishing, and traveling. He values time with his family, including his parents, who live nearby and remain an active part of their lives. Though his children are now grown, three still live at home, making family a constant, cherished presence.
