I have been writing for several years, but Hearsay is my first novel for adults.

A few years ago, while in an antique shop, I came across a chess set with two pawns missing. A small card next to the set explained that a soldier had given one pawn to his mother and one to his sweetheart before leaving to go to war.

This set me thinking. If he had returned, why were the pieces still missing?

I love reading historical mysteries and murder mysteries and I have enjoyed weaving the stories of Luc, Florence and Maurice together. I hope you enjoy their stories too.
