Rob Kantner’s first published fiction appeared in Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery Magazine in 1982. Later appeared ten Ben Perkins novels and several dozen short stories. He won the Shamus award four times.
His novella "How Wendy Tudhope Was Saved From Sure and Certain Death" appeared in Best American Mystery Stories 2004 (Houghton Mifflin). The 2009 edition included "Down Home Blues," a Ben Perkins short. Eighteen Perkins stories were anthologized in Trouble Is What I Do (Point Blank, 2005).
Rob is the father of three, stepdad of two, grandfather of six, and steady of Deanna, with whom he lives in central Michigan.
