I'm a lifelong fan of science fiction and fantasy, and have been writing LitRPG and Progression Fantasy novels for the last few years. I always try to build my books around characters, action, and a good dose of snark.

Overall, though, I'm just interested in writing fun books people actually want to read. As a PhD candidate currently researching men's reading habits, I spend a lot of time analysing what sits on modern bookshelves. And it strikes me that the world really needs more escapism! I even penned my first Boy's Own Adventure specifically for my son, aiming to bring back the golden age of classic heroics.

Over the years, I've teamed up with great publishers like Aethon Books, Legion Publishers, LitForge and Soundbooth Theater to bring these universes to life. I also regularly drop stories into the anthologies over at Raconteur Press.

When I'm not writing or wrangling data for my doctorate, you can usually find me rereading Terry Pratchett. Failing that, I'll be suffering through the English cricket team's inevitable batting collapses.
