Cora Brantner

In 2005, I found my mother's biographical manuscript of her grandmother that she wrote 15 to 20 years before. I'd had a whole boxful of it and her other writings in my garage, collecting dust for over 6 years. I fell in love with it and decided to try to finish and share it somehow.

That was no easy task, as the publishing industry had evolved with the computer age, and I had not. It took me 7 years to finish it and get it published.

Once my friends read MARY ALICE, GYPSY NURSE, they started begging me for a sequel, as mom's book only covered the first half of her grandmother's life.

By the time MARY ALICE, GYPSY NO MORE debuted in 2016 (and my friends said they loved it just as much), I'd caught the writing bug and started on 2 more books, KEENIE AND THE PREACHER, published in Nov. 2024, and IRISH MAIL ORDER BRIDE, in Feb 2025.

Before I finished them, I started a fifth book, which I've titled THE PRINCESS AND THE WOODSMAN. I hope to finish and publish it in autumn 2025.

Are there any more books in my future? Only God knows.
