CHETAN KATHALAY

Chetan R. Kathalay hold a bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering. He is presently the Director at Electronics Test and Development Centre (ETDC). This test lab is located in Pune, India under the Ministry of Electronics and I.T., Government Of India. He has over twenty-seven (27) years of experience in the field of EMC testing, safety evaluation and CE marking. He was instrumental in setting up of a state-of-the-art EMC test lab, starting EMC test operations and developing a Quality System based on ISO/IEC 17025. His experience includes managing EMC and safety test operations, providing design guidelines to manufacturers and helping manufacturers to achieve international certifications like CE marking. He is a much sought-after faculty and regularly conducts courses on “EMC Design” and “CE marking” for manufacturing houses and educational institutions. He has innumerable national and international publications on EMC and safety compliance to his credit. An avid writer, he has authored four books on EMC testing, safety testing and CE Marking.
