Skylar Slate

Skylar Slate's literary efforts began in grade school when she adapted children's stores into plays for her young friends to act in. Unsurprisingly, she majored in English in college. She began her early professional life as a writer in public relations and advertising. Later, she earned her way through one of the nation's top graduate schools by writing a university newsletter, graduating with an MBA in finance. Building a distinguished career in institutional investing, she wrote complex analyses, and saw her articles on investing topics published in nation-wide publications.

Coolness to the Wind is Slate's first novel, intended as a tribute to the retirement alternatives available to today's retirees, and to the wisdom and experience of their residents.
