I have been a Swindon Town supporter for well over half a century and started writing about the club during the 1980s. Letters to the local press were followed by football magazine articles, an opinion column, match previews and reports, and website filings for the local press, plus almost a quarter of a century contributing to Swindon Town’s matchday programme. My first book, 'Swindon Town: The Fans’ Choice', was published in 2007, followed by 'Swindon Town: The Lou Macari Years', released in April 2025.

'Swindon Town's Journey to the Premier League', the story of Swindon Town's transition from Football League club to members of the recently formed Premier League in 1993, will be launched by Pitch Publishing on 1st October 2026. Detailing five seasons under the leadership of Ossie Ardiles and Glenn Hoddle and culminating in an eventful top flight season under the managership of John Gorman, the period brought success, off-field drama, relegation fears and finally promotion to the Premier League... where the reality of the challenge hit hard.

With a foreword written by Paul Bodin the contributions of five Swindon Town footballing legends add behind the scenes insight and personal recollections of five seasons of excitement, achievement and relentless drama at the County Ground.
