I’m a writer, educator, and curriculum designer with a passion for bringing English Language Arts to life. With 20 years of experience teaching high school and college English in Texas, Illinois, New York, and Florida, I’ve spent my career helping students discover their voices through reading, writing, and critical thinking.

My love for the written word runs deep—whether I’m writing songs, crafting stories, or dreaming up creative ways to teach classic concepts. I thrive on creative challenges, whether it’s bejeweling a bow for my daughter, inventing a new character for a story, or writing a country song that only my chickens will ever hear. Thanks to The Beatles and Jane Austen, who first opened my eyes to the power of storytelling, I learned to embrace imagination, language, and the magic of words.

When I’m not writing, you’ll likely find me spending time with my wonderful family, tending to my garden, or surrounded by the chickens, dogs, and cats that make every day a little more interesting.
