E. K. Wise

E. K. Wise has been fascinated by cultural history and geology since her youth, when living abroad and traveling internationally sparked her curiosity about the world beneath our feet—and the stories hidden within it. Her love of rocks, minerals, and global traditions inspires the rich, earth-centered fantasy of The Keepers of the Rock series.

A passionate advocate for learning differences and evaluation, Wise draws from her background in psychology and clinical social work—as well as life in a lively ADHD household (three of her four children, and possibly the dog, agree). Her stories celebrate diverse perspectives, resilience, and a deep curiosity about our extraordinary planet and the powerful forces that shape it.

When she’s not writing young adult eco-fantasy filled with crystals, secret societies, and environmental stakes, she can be found sampling multicultural cuisine, sweating through a stationary bike workout, reading widely, or studying cool rocks and minerals.

Wise lives in Southern California with her family, where curiosity is encouraged and questions are always welcome.
