She has authored nearly 60 books and has published many authors. Her mission statement is based on Jesus' words, found in Luke 4:18-19: "to preach the gospel to the poor, to proclaim release to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, to set free those who are oppressed, and to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord."

Alexys began her art business in the mid-1990s while living in Saudi Arabia with her then-husband. She began painting and stippling [pointillism] for those who lived on the American compound. When she returned to the States in 1997, her art business soared. She formed the for-profit business The Camel's Brush, named for its Saudi inception. Her artistry shifted to writing in 2006. Her website includes The Fiery Sword Global Ministries and The Camel's Brush.
