Baby Boomer! Grew up watching Matt Dillon and Dirty Harry.I still love Lonesome Dove, Outlaw Jose Whales and Open Range. I cried in sixth grade when I read Call of the Wild and Jack London is one of my early influences. My father made us read Kipling out loud and naturalism became a favorite genre. I also fell in love with Jimmy Buffetts music, books and lifestyle following some of his paths; sailing, fishing and diving are a passion. My immediate and extended family served in every American war , Vietnam was winding down by the time I came of age. A four year military college in the Shenandoah Valley yeilded a degree in English Literature ,commission, flight school and eight years as an Army Officer. I financed school working as a carpenter and iron worker so construction was a good fit after the Army. Now retired, I split my time between Florida and Missouri with my partner Salli and dog Mango. The third book of the planned Trilogy is simmering in my head but right now I need to bait my crab pots!
