Sheldon Morris

I love northern Idaho. It was where I was born and raised. During high school, I felt God was calling me into Christian ministry. I went to Oklahoma Wesleyan University and graduated with a bachelor's degree in pastoral ministry. During my time there, I came to understand my call to be more support related. In other words, not necessarily the lead pastor of a church, but perhaps at some point in the future. I have always had a passion for computers and technology as well. So, I spent the next 20 or so years working in the IT department of a large school district in Arizona. I moved back to northern Idaho with my father’s passing. When my father was alive, he would often write poetry about his faith. He enjoyed reading them in our local church. I thought it would be a good idea to collect them all in one book and publish them so that others may enjoy the poems. Working on that book reminded me that one of my college professors encouraged me to consider a career as a writer. I do enjoy writing and perhaps this will be a litmus test to see if my professor was onto something.
