Barret Baumgart

Barret Baumgart is the author of the nonfiction books China Lake (named a best book of 2017 by Kirkus and Brooklyn Rail) and YUCK, winner of the 2023 Wandering Aengus Award for Creative Nonfiction. His essays have appeared in The Paris Review, The Gettysburg Review, The Iowa Review, The Rumpus, Vice, LitHub, The Seneca Review, and The Literary Review, among others. He lives in Los Angeles.
