Jared Sorber

Dr. Sorber is an experienced leader, educator, and advocate for multicultural effectiveness and racial reconciliation. Since 2000, Sorber has served as a pastor at Bridgeway Community Church in Columbia, MD, one of the leading multicultural churches in the US.

Sorber has been a passionate writer and speaker on topics such as multicultural effectiveness, cross-cultural bridge-building, and racial reconciliation. His work includes a chapter on youth ministry in the Multi-Cultural Ministry Handbook (Anderson & Cabellon, 2010) and research in the area of multicultural ministry, cultural intelligence and anti-racism. He has shared his insights at conferences and workshops, focusing on how these concepts apply to youth ministry, family ministry, and missions.

A global collaborator, Sorber has built partnerships with leaders and organizations worldwide, championing the belief that diverse groups working together create greater impact and fulfillment. In 2025, he founded Cultural Curiosity, an organization dedicated to inspiring cultural curiosity and collaboration. Through this initiative, Sorber provides tools, training, and resources to navigate cultural differences, foster empathy, and build meaningful cross-cultural relationships, contributing to a more connected and harmonious world.
