Born in Bogotá, Colombia, the author grew up in a family where religion was a constant presence; often more an imposition than an invitation. From his early years, he was also deeply attentive to world events, absorbing history, international news, political shifts, and global crises with an intensity uncommon to such an early age. His early immersion in faith led to his enrollment in an American Catholic school from childhood through adolescence. There, the rigidity of doctrine gradually softened into a gentler form of spiritual learning.

His journey then took him to one of the world’s most prestigious military universities. In this space, surrounded by discipline, routine, and a highly structured life, religion became an oasis of solace (i.e. 6 PM mass was a cherished break to the daily grind). Amidst a rising tide of Born-Again Christians and Bible-banging zeal, he found himself neither identifying with nor fully rejecting these movements. Nevertheless, his friendships in both groups kept the flame of faith burning brightly within him. So much so that, for four years at the Academy and a few more afterward, attending daily mass became an essential part of his spiritual routine. By his mid-twenties, however, deep questions began to surface.

How could a perfect and loving Creator coexist

with the wrathful depictions found in scripture?

Disillusionment grew as he witnessed failings of dogma and contradictions within institutional religion.

These conflicts and unanswered questions

ultimately fractured the foundations of his Catholic faith.

At twenty-six, the death of his father; and an out-of-body experience that defied “logic”, shattered what remained of his inherited beliefs!

In the emptiness that followed, one conviction endured:

there had to be more to existence

than what “met the eye” in the physical world,

and he had to understand it.

From that moment, the pursuit of higher understanding became his lifelong quest. Through cycles of joy and pain, expansion and loss, he delved into the depths of spirituality and the nature of consciousness itself. His studies evolved from religion to direct experience, from dogma to truth. One night in his early fifties, a powerful dream conveyed a message: “I AM GOD.” Though initially dismissed as madness, its clarity and resonance made it impossible to forget.

Years later, a chance encounter with a graffiti that read,

“I AM God,

you are too!

The only difference between us

is our degree of understanding

of this magnanimous truth,”

reignited memories from his bible days of how often “I AM” appeared in scripture. At that moment, he understood the phrase was more revelation than arrogance. The clearest key to understanding humanity’s divine essence. From then on,

uncovering the powerful meaning of “I AM”

became a central part of his life’s work.

After decades of reflection, study, and spiritual realization, the author came to understand that religion’s contradictions were never meant to end the search but to point beyond it; to a universal truth residing within.

With “I AM,”

divinity is not something external to worship,

but an inner state of being accessible to all.

Like the wave and the ocean, the individual and the Divine are one continuous essence; as inter-connected as could be.

His “I AM” series emerged from this awakening; a collection of works showing readers, possible ways towards their OWN Divine identity and live from THAT place of wholeness.

And then, as every true seeker knows, revelation is not an endpoint but an opening. Having written extensively on the “I AM” consciousness; the author now turns to new explorations that unite two of his greatest passions: spirituality and world events.

In his forthcoming works, he examines unfolding challenges of our planet: from social and political shifts to cosmic phenomena, from a spiritual perspective. Always grounded in the context of consciousness, his writings are meant to assist in bridging the seen and unseen, the personal and collective, reminding us that…

humanity’s outer transformation

begins with an inner awakening.
