Robin graduated from Clemson University with a BS degree, earned a Certificate of Professional Development in Gerontology from Kennesaw State, a certificate in Montessori-Based Dementia Programming, a certificate in Alzheimer’s Care from the Alzheimer’s Association, trained as a Mercer Care Partner in Palliative Care and is trained to teach Powerful Tools for Caregivers and Dealing with Dementia. She has taken unit one of Clinical Pastoral Education with the Care and Counseling Center of Georgia and is a Stephen Minister. Robin implemented, launched, and directed Grace Arbor, the congregational respite program at FUMC Lawrenceville from 2005-2018. Robin has led a local Caregiver Support Group since 2019. In 2022 Robin was awarded Paraprofessional of the Year through the Rosalyn Carter Center for Caregivers. Robin serves her church, Grace New Hope Church in Lawrenceville, GA by teaching in the children’s ministry and serving in the prayer ministry. Robin is a trustee at the O’Kelly Memorial Library and is in her third year as Storytime Reader. She is married to Tom, has a therapy dog Maggie, and five grandchildren!
