Michael Kosoy Ph.D.

Renowned for his work as a biomedical researcher, Dr. Kosoy is currently the Founder and Research Director of KB One Health LLC, located in Colorado. He formerly excelled for 25 years with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, serving as the Chief of a Laboratory in the Division of Vector-Borne Diseases of the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases. In recognition of his noteworthy accomplishments, Dr. Kosoy has received several accolades, including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary's Award for his team's work in response to the Ebola epidemic in 1995. Later, he received two more Awards for Distinguished Service from the Secretary of U.S. Health and Human Services. He has been featured in Who's Who in America. He was the Principal Investigator for numerous research projects in America, Asia, Africa, and Europe. His international activities include, but not limited to P.R. China, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Nepal, Kazakhstan, Georgia (country), Armenia, Azerbaijan, Russia, Kosovo, Israel, Kenya, D.R. Congo, Canada, Peru, and Guatemala. A prolific writer, Dr. Kosoy has authored and co-authored >200 scholarly articles and book chapters. His publication score is higher than 97.5% of all ResearchGate members' scores. He has been an editorial board member for several scientific journals. It is estimated that he has presented at >100 scientific conferences, and many of them have invited him to be an honored speaker at their events. Dr. Kosoy continues his active research in the area of One Health. He and his wife, Olga, live in the Rocky Mountain foothills in Fort Collins, Colorado.
