Bill Leider

Bill Leider is a seasoned, highly respected executive leader, adviser, and consultant. He is the cofounder and managing partner of Axíes Group, a consulting company. He works with growth-minded leaders and organizations that want to propel their performance from acceptable to exceptional.

His more than forty years of experience include being the CEO of both publicly traded and privately owned companies, advising and consulting companies ranging from ambitious startups to Fortune 500s in a wide variety of industries, and coaching numerous executives to help them become more-effective leaders.

For the last ten years, Bill has been studying and applying the findings of neuroscience as they affect human interactions, the choices we make, relationships, and awareness of how our unconscious minds form our biases, direct our behavior, and instill in us our self-limiting beliefs. His work, combined with his business experience, has enabled him to develop a model to guide people through periods of profound, angst-ridden life changes that occur at various stages of our lives.

One day, Bill’s wife, Arlene, suggested (hammered him over the head until he got the message) that his next book should address individual people and their journeys through the next chapters of their lives.

What’s Next? was born.

Bill’s previous two books, Mastering Your Balance: A Guide to Leading and Living at Your Full Potential, coauthored with Jason Thompson, his business partner, and Brand Delusions: Exploding the Myths and Helping You Improve Your Brand—Professionally and Personally, were critically well-received business books.

Bill serves on the advisory board of the Institute of Neuro Innovation, a neuroscience research organization in improving brain health in the area of depression. Bill also serves on the advisory board of SecureTheVillage, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to make the greater Los Angeles area the safest cybersecurity community in the United States.

He has lectured at the Sol Price School of Public Policy at the University of Southern California, where he taught leadership in counterterrorism as a required part of the Public Policy master’s degree program.
