Jocabed Ikeji, known as Jojo, is a Nigerian author born on January 3, 2006, in Port Harcourt. She grew up in Kaduna, where she spent fifteen formative years that continue to shape her voice and stories. She fell in love with writing in 2018 and began publishing officially at eighteen, driven by curiosity, imagination, and a deep interest in people and culture.
She published her first book, Crimson Steps: A Madam Koi Koi Love Story, in 2024, and has since released many books, including Angels Like You, Amala Versus Kimchi, Bride of Harmattan, and Tainted Love.
She is currently a zoology student at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria. When she is not writing—though she almost always is—Jojo learns Chinese and Korean, and reads widely. Through her stories, she tells of people from different cultures and places, crafting relatable narratives that feel lived in. She remains committed to growth, honesty, and creating work that stays with the reader long after the final page.
