Steven Schain is the author of The Comeback Guide for Entrepreneurs and the creator of The Resilience Protocol. He knows what it feels like to watch everything you’ve built crumble around you because he’s lived it. After successfully building and selling his first company, Spectralight Images, in 2016 following 18 years of growth, Steven thought he had entrepreneurship figured out. He was wrong.

His second venture, Spectra3D, brought him face-to-face with every entrepreneur’s worst nightmare. The debt kept growing. Revenue kept shrinking. The stress was crushing him. By 2023, Steven had to make the hardest decision of his professional life to close the doors and file for bankruptcy. It felt like his career was over. Turns out, it was just getting started.

These days, Steven has turned that devastating experience into his life’s work. With over 30 years in training and education, including creating educational content for major software companies, he now runs AI Performance Partners.

His mission? Help business owners and professionals who are going through what he went through. Steven doesn’t teach theory. He teaches what he experienced: the sleepless nights, the tough conversations, and the step-by-step process of clawing your way back.

After rebuilding his own life, Steven created The Resilience Protocol Community to ensure other entrepreneurs don't have to face recovery alone. Through weekly coaching calls, private forum discussions, and accountability partnerships, he guides entrepreneurs through the same five-step system that transformed his own failure into his life's most meaningful work.

Steven lives in beautiful Western North Carolina with his amazing wife. They’re proud of their four grown kids, all doing incredible things with their lives. When he’s not coaching people through their comeback stories, you’ll find Steven tinkering with 3D printing projects, teaching AI and 3D design, or exploring the mountains and music scene around Asheville. His philosophy is simple: Failure isn’t your final chapter. It’s the first line of your comeback story.
