Andrew Sabins is a writer from Rochester, New York.

He writes quiet, unsettling fiction about memory, loss, and devotion — what we keep, what we lose, and the way the two turn out to be the same thing held in different light. His paired novellas, Everything I Drew to Keep You and A Place No One Could See, tell one love story twice: once warm, once cold. His collection Once Told, Twice Remembered follows Andy, a character somewhere between truth and fiction, who remembers things differently than they may have happened. But then again, don’t we all?

When Andrew isn’t untangling those moments on the page, he’s lost in thought over a cup of coffee, walking with his best friend Erin, or negotiating with his cat, Boots — who believes storytelling should never come before dinner, and who appears in A Place No One Could See as himself.
